Little Venice Ward Panel
The Little Venice Ward Panel is composed of a diverse group of representatives from the Ward, including the Met Neighbourhood Policing team, Westminster Councillors, Westminster County Council (usually the Neighbourhood Coordinator in the Public Protection and Licensing Team) and residents representing various areas of the ward including our Council Estates housing. We meet four times a year and usually have about 15-20 attendees.
The Ward consists of mostly residential property, which is a mix of Victorian/Edwardian houses and house conversions to apartments, post war social housing and new high-rise apartments with allocated social housing. There are small number of restaurants, pubs and bars and several local shopping areas, including Clifton Road, Formosa Street and part of the northern Edgware Road.
The general crime issues are ASB around the College of Westminster at Paddington Green, Violent and Sexual offences, shoplifting at Clifton Gardens, Drug Dealing and Vehicle crime, including speeding cars.
Our current ward priorities, based on crime experienced during the previous quarter, are thus:
Violent/sexual crime/intimidation of women and girls.
ASB, Drug dealing/taking, Speeding cars.
Robbery, Theft, Burglary
The Met Neighbourhood Policing team has been severely under resourced the last 12 months, but as of Spring 2026 this has hopefully been resolved. The level of crime in the area is relatively low and stable but the general perception is that ASB and drug dealing/talking is increasing. The consistency of police messaging to the Ward Panel - report, report, report.
