Pimlico South Ward Panel

The Pimlico South Ward Panel meets quarterly, bringing together our local police officers and representatives of the Ward’s residents and businesses, as well as relevant Council officers and sometimes elected Councillors.

The police make a presentation of their activities over the preceding three months, with statistics and narrative, explaining how well they have done against the priorities set by the Panel at the previous meeting.  We then go on to consider what changes, if any, residents would like to make in the priorities for the next quarter.   It is a struggle to get many folk to attend, perhaps partly because we are fortunate to be a relatively low crime neighbourhood, but we usually have about a dozen attendees.  Our primary priorities are usually anti-social behaviour including drug dealing, inconsiderate or reckless bike/scooter riding, theft (phone snatching, shoplifting etc).   The worst problem area is along Lupus St and the school but we encourage foot patrols in St George’s Square Garden too as this is used by residents from all over Pimlico.  We are promoting the idea of office for the police of both North and South Pimlico Wards which has been offered by the management of Dolphin Square.
