Marylebone Ward Panel
The Marylebone Safer Neighbourhood Panel has been in existence for some years and was recently restructured to create:
a “core” panel of community representatives, councillors, BID representatives and WCC officials which meets twice a year. Police representatives are invited to attend part of these meetings with the remaining part of the meeting being used for assessment of police progress in meeting the priorities set for them;
A twice-yearly public meeting, attended by members of the core panel and by any interested members of the public. These meetings allow discussion of the priorities with the public and are set up so as to allow a broader Question and Answer session with the local police officers.
As requested by the Mayor of London, we set and review a series of three priorities for our local police team. Our three current priorities are:
Bicycle enabled crime
Theft from business
Burglary
We have occasional vacancies for core panel members and if you are interested in become a member or wish to be put on our mailing list for the public meetings, do get in touch with the chair, David Strang at davidstrangsnp@gmail.com”
